KAREN KRUSKAL is a partner in the firm and has been practicing law for over 25 years. Her law practice focuses primarily on the areas of real estate law; lead paint poisoning, closed head injuries, and other personal injury litigation; and the representation of lesbian and gay clients including same sex couple adoptions. Ms. Kruskal was a trial counsel in the first major verdict in a lead poisoning case in 1982, and she and the firm have since been responsible for a number of major Massachusetts court decisions in lead poisoning cases. She has consulted to and handled cases on referral from attorneys statewide, and has authored articles and spoken frequently on the subject of childhood lead poisoning, buying and selling real estate, wills, trusts, and other estate planning, and legal protections for gay and lesbian clients. She is a graduate of Northeastern University Law School and Colby College.
KURT PRESSMAN is a partner in the firm and has been practicing law for 27 years. His law practice has centered on representing buyers, sellers, and mortgage lenders in real estate transactions; people who have suffered personal injuries, including children who have been the victims of lead poisoning; small business matters, including purchase and sale of businesses; and general civil litigation. He has been responsible for major court decisions in the state courts of Massachusetts, as well as the federal district court, appeals court, and United States Supreme Court. In his real estate practice, Mr. Pressman works closely with many real estate brokers, banks, and mortgage companies throughout eastern Massachusetts. He has authored numerous articles and spoken frequently on lead paint poisoning and real estate issues. Mr. Pressman is a graduate of Northeastern University Law School and Haverford College.
SUSAN J. GOLDSTEIN concentrates her practice in civil litigation in state and federal courts, representing clients in the areas of personal injury and lead paint poisoning. Ms. Goldstein represents parties in real estate transactions and also prepares wills, trusts and related documents for clients. She also has practiced employment, civil rights and discrimination law. She currently serves as a Commissioner for the City of Somerville Human Rights Commission. Ms. Goldstein is a graduate of Northeastern University Law School and Hamilton College.
SARAH LIKE RHATIGAN concentrates her practice on representing buyers, sellers, and mortgage lenders in real estate transactions, representing people who have suffered personal injuries (including children who have suffered lead poisoning), and representing parties in landlord-tenant disputes. Ms. Rhatigan is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Brown University.
JASON B. COHEN is an associate attorney with Pressman and Kruskal. He is a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Georgia School of Law. He deals with real estate matters, including representing buyers, sellers, and mortgage lenders in real estate transactions, and also focuses on litigation.
