The attorneys at Pressman & Kruskal handle estate planning for a wide range of clients, including married and unmarried couples, heterosexual and same-sex couples, single persons, parents, etc. We also handle the probating of estates.
Our representation in estate planning and probate matters includes the following:
- Wills and Trusts: We consult with clients to identify and address their specific estate planning needs. We prepare wills for our clients, and prepare trusts where appropriate to protect assets for children or other persons who would benefit. We also consult with and make referrals to a network of professionals where appropriate for our clients’ estate and tax planning needs.
- Other documents: We consult with our clients to determine other appropriate documents for their situations, such as powers of attorney, health care proxies, HIPAA releases, burial instructions and statements regarding life support. We also have unique experience in the preparation of these documents for non-traditional families.
- Probating Estates: We handle estate matters, such as the filing of petitions in the probate court for allowance of wills, the appointment of personal representative of estates, obtaining estate tax releases and other documents necessary to clear the title to a decedent’s real property and obtaining access to assets which do not go through probate.
